Space Moose reader poll results
The following three lists were compiled from the second annual Space Moose reader poll which took place in August/September 1997. Each ballot contained up to five votes for favorite strip, three votes for favorite character, and one vote for Space Moose's sexual orientation.

* Retard Boy was voted for under a few different names including Bee Bobby and "The Downs Retard". Four people voted for "the PKU retard" or simply "pku," but anyone with a normal compliment of chromosomes knows that Retard Boy suffers from Down Syndrome, not phenylketonuria.
** Several low-functioning pollsters voted for "Milo." I counted all of these as votes for Marlo Smefner.
*** There was clearly a collusion in this poll to overrepresent Pepi Alvarez, a character who appeared briefly in Welcome, new recruits only by surname. I chose not to reject the ballots submitted by the dullards behind the Pepi Alvarez campaign, but their votes are likely to have corrupted the rest of the poll. Let's have a big round of applause for cretinism.
